Release Notes

In this example user enters his/her name and surname in a Child Window and once submitted, different text, along with the entered name and surname, are displayed in the main page.

There are a few other features in this example and I tried to provide a example of a good practice in coding. There is a post about this project on Silverlight Tips.

This project is been build on Silverlight 3.0 platform.

Step by step summary:

1. add a new Child Window
2. Create an EventHandler in Child Window
3. Create public properties to save the values
4. Fire the event once submit button is clicked in Child Window
5. In MainPage.xaml create a new instance of the Child Window
6. How to show Child Window
7. In MainPage.xaml hook up the submit event in Child Window
8. Access the properties of the Child Window
